Fuji X-T1, wear and tear - PH010002

Launch of the Fuji X-T2, timely, patience needed

I am very happy with the Fuji X-T1, it does almost everything I need from a camera. So it works hard and I could really do with a second body for some jobs and as a backup. So I keep hanging my nose over an X-Pro2 even though I have an X-T2 on order

Experimenting with Fuji X autofocus

I finally got the chance to try out the X-T1 autofocus with the new capabilities provided by firmware v4.0. I took the opportunity to try it out with my new 50-140mm f2.8 zoom lens. After all this is the lens I would most often use for sport and action subjects.

Pros and cons of the Fuji X system

Or why do I still keep my Canon equipment? I have been using the Fuji X system for over two years now and have hardly used my Canon system in that time. So why am I still hanging on to it?

New firmware 4.2 for Fuji X-T1 released

New firmware for the Fuji X-T1 has been released today, 17 December 2015. This was promised, then the notice was withdrawn almost immediately. It became a possibility again earlier in the week.

First year with Fuji X system

It was late spring 2013, I had made my decision and bought a Fuji X-E1 with 18-55mm kit lens. I would now start on a long term evaluation to establish whether the Fuji system could replace my excellent, but too heavy, professional Canon outfit.
